We're back in Clifton again visiting Fishers restaurant. This small nautical themed restaurant prides itself on offering seasonal, sensible and ethically sourced produce. The menu changes daily depending on what's fresh with influences from Mediterranean, Asian and British cuisine. This plate of roast fillet of cod wrapped in Serrano ham with spring greens was exquisite. All the mains come with a portion of either chips or new potatoes which were superbly cooked.

After an in-depth discussion (and a google image search) about what exactly Mahi Mahi was, we ordered what seemed like the majority of the menu between us. Fishers doesn't scrimp on the wine either. They have a great selection of reds, whites and rosé's to suit any taste. After a slight miscalculation from the waitress, my main arrived a little after the rest of the table. However, this was quickly made up for with complimentary olives and anchovies.

Fishers is great if you're on a gluten-free diet with most of their dishes being gluten-free, but if what you're after isn't they'll happily to tweak it for you. It delivered for the veggies amongst us as well, there were a couple of choices for both starter and main course to keep them happy. I can vouch for the halloumi and roast veg with pesto - absolutely delicious.

Great reviews were received all round for their starters and mains. We dined on: smoked salmon; king prawns; calamari; mussels; celeriac and rosemary soup; mahi-mahi; cod; halloumi; and more mussels. We were treated to fresh bread and butter and finished the meal truly satisfied. For the bargain hunters among us, Fishers has a great value lunch/early evening menu as well as a monthly deal offer. This month you can bag yourself two mains and two glasses of house wine for £29, check their website for more details.

Overall a fun and cosy atmosphere with great food and friendly staff. I'd highly recommend booking a table at Fishers for your next date night or birthday meal. Link to their website can be found by clicking the logo below.
